A peacefully situated older style villa set on the hillside above the picturesque bay of Tamariu 1.5km away with its local amenities and delightful beachfront bars and restaurants. (Please note a car is highly recommended due to the gradients!) The bright and airy interior opens out into a mature enclosed garden, which ensures quiet seclusion and a safe environment for children to play. A breathtaking sea view can be enjoyed from the first floor balcony and the sunken, purpose-built stone dining terrace below the pool provides a sheltered setting for al fresco dining.

About the area around Tamariu

 With steep cliffs and pine covered hills reaching down to the Mediterranean, simple houses and open air restaurant lining the beautiful bay, Tamariu is a village visited by travellers year after year. Tamariu is like Calella and Llafranc some 130 kms from the French border. Originally a small fishing village and now popular with tourists of all nations. There are no high rise blocks, smaller complex and villas scattered around the hillside of Aigua Xelida and the beach. Tamariu has a small selection of village shops, a diving centre and offers the possibility of renting a boat to explore the surrounding coastline. The village of Tamariu is an excellent place to stay and have access to all of the beautiful Costa Brava. Tamariu is one of the jewels of the Costa Brava, a tiny fishing village with a lovely beach and just a handful of shops bars and beach restaurants, although there is a greater variety in the slightly larger resort of Llafranch just 5 min drive away. Tamariu is charmingly sleepy and relaxing, although understandably the beach can get crowded at weekends and during August. The nearby small inland town of Palafrugell offers a greater variety of amenities, including a very popular local market.
