Situated along a small but well kept mountain road of 2km, you will find approx. 10km. sea, beach, gulf, shops, the zoo Selwo, and opportunities for going out, dolphin trips etcetera. Within only 2km is the white Moor village Casares where you can do shopping. Malaga with the international airport is situated within approx. 1 hour drive, the citied Ronda and Granada within 2 hours drive and Sevilla is a good daytrip within 3 hours drive. The location is especially suitable for those looking for rest and quiet, in the midst of beautiful nature with versatile flora and fauna, but within a short distance from all famous places of interest along the Costa del Sol. About the area around Casares |

The beautiful white village of Casares with its quaint restaurants, craft shops and local bars, is suspended high on the hillside offering stunning panoramic views of the sea towards Gibraltar and the North African coast. The narrow streets weave and climb from the village square with inviting bodegas and tapas bars ideally situated to take in the idyllic location. The village is only 10 minutes drive inland from the wide sandy expanses of Casares Bay, with many of the beaches designated Blue Flag areas. With Estepona just a short drive away, the Casares area offers beautiful scenery, miles of unspoilt beaches and excellent cuisine. A 5 minute drive along the coast to the west will take you to Puerto de la Duquesa and the marina with its many restaurants, pavement cafes and shopping facilities. There is plenty of parking on the outskirts of the village, but be ready to climb, the narrow streets weave and climb surrounding the central plaza with its small bars and central fountain. Keep climbing and eventually you will have reached the top of the town of some 1,400 feet above sea level. There is an old fortress here and a derelict church, as well as a marvellous view. Watch for peregrine falcons and kestrels and, on a clear day, you will be able to spy on the african coast with the Rock of Gibraltar looming craggily in the foreground. |
