Boa Vista is the nearest of the Cape Verde islands to the African Coast. Boa Vista has some beautiful coastline and the people are very friendly. Our Boa Vista holiday rentals are located on some superb beachfront locations. If you are looking for a Cape Verde holiday villa or apartment rental with white powder sandy beaches close to the Chaves and Santa Monica beaches, two of in our opinion the best beaches in the world and all the restaurants, bars, music and nightlife Sal Rei has to offer, Boa Vista Island has it all.  The island of Boa Vista is renowned for its powder white sand and the holiday rentals on Boa Vista are mainly by these beaches. Boa Vista is quite literally covered in sand and many buildings have been completely absorbed leaving an endless blanket of sand. A great example of this is on Praia da Chaves, an old ceramic factory covered in sand is still intact with machines in situ! Sahara like dunes in the interior of the island with sprouting date palms are an impressive sight and well worth a visit. Depending on the time of year you may even spot some turtles on the islands southern beaches. Boa Vista is thought to be third most important loggerhead nesting site in the world, with the favoured time of year for turtles to nest usually being during the months of June through to September.
