Denia’s beaches are of a remarkable beauty and it has a historic centre where the castle raises majestically right in the centre of town. Mount Montgó, declared a Natural Park, is only a few metres from the sea and fishing boats come and go whilst they mark the rhythm of everyday life and provide Denia with the best of the sea, making it the celebrated cuisine haven it has become. We propose a climb to the castle, a visit to museums, churches, streets and old quarters, a walk in Montgó Natural Park, watch how ships arrive to the fish exchange, enjoying sand beaches or encouraging you to practice a sport, living local fiestas with us and getting to know the surroundings, amongst many other activities.

Denia Resort Information

The Denia Region of the Costa Blanca in Spain offers a wide range of holiday resorts to suit all ages and budgets.

One of the most visited tourist attractions of Denia is the castillo (castle). The castle built in the 11th and 12th century offers a wonderful view around the sea, the city and the backlands. Within the castle you will find the Palau del Governador with its museum. Along with the other interesting museums in Denia, the Museo Etnologico will give you further details on the rich history and culture of Denia.

Denia has two beach areas: To the north of the district there is the area known as les Marines (or las Marinas), where you will mainly find long fine sandy beaches. To the south of the district there is the area known as les Rotes (or Las Rotas), which starts with a sandy beach and gives way to rocky coves which, colourful and hidden, display a crystalline landscape of unique beauty.

Dénia is considered one of the districts in Spain with the most fiestas. Each station of the year has festivities associated to life in the quarters, streets or the whole of the local population, true to the extent that it is difficult to come to Denia without a surprise religious or festive celebration.

Other local leisure facilities include 3 large Golf courses, tennis, football, squash, all water sports, boat hire and trips, horse-riding, go-kart racing tracks for both adults and children.

Denia enjoys a typical subtropical Mediterranean climate, with cool sea breezes in summer and protection by surrounding mountains against the cold North winds in winter. The area averages nearly 3,000 hours of sunshine each year and the average temperature easily exceeds 20 degrees. On average it can boast 325 sunny days each year making it an ideal all year round destination. Ideal for those beach lovers.

 Just 30 minutes from Alicante Airport and 1 hour from Murcia airport and with a huge number of cheap flights from UK and European airports every day, this makes taking a Denia holiday rental so popular, and relax in the beautiful Costa Blanca.
