Lagos is a splendid town in the centre of the Algarve, there are many interesting places to visit within the town, from the beautiful Church of San Antonio which holds the municipal museum, and the Franciscan Monastery. The beaches of the Algarve are of course a main reason why Lagos apartments are so popular. The main beach of Lagos Town is the beach of Ponta da Piedade, nestled in a rocky cove. Just a 25 minute walk from the centre of town is Praia Dona Ana, Praia do Camilo and Meia Praia a few minutes further on. Whatever your preference in beach, from the endless, flat golden sands to the secluded, sheltered cove beach, there is certain to be an ideal spot for you within a short walk of self catering Lagos accommodation. There are two beautiful golf courses close to the apartments in Lagos.
