Los Montesinos is situated on the Costa Blanca, approximately 45 mins drive south of Alicante airport and 30 minutes drive North from San Javier (Murcia) airport. Los Montesinos is a small town just outside Torrevieja. Los Montesinos is still a very Spanish town but the new development is having an impact, with for example two English stores, 'Mayfields' and 'Wainwrights' The main road runs east to west through the town, with La Herrada being to the north. the main village square is south of this main road. There is a market on a Friday afternoon/early evening. There are cafes and bars around the square. The nearest large beach is at La Mata which is at the northern end of Torrevieja. |
