Chalets - Each individual banda is nestled in the beautiful tropical gardens set amongst the palm trees. The thatched (makuti) roof is a typical coastal feature and the verandah gives you a chance to relax in peace and quiet and is perfect for an evening sundowner. They are all air-conditioned, en-suite with a large mosquito net surrounding the bed and have safety deposit boxes. No two bandas are alike and all are equally charming. Villas - Named after islands in the Lamu archipelago on Kenya’s north coast – Pate, Kiwayu and Shela are the three exclusive villas. Situated in an attractive walled tropical garden, they are only 2 minutes from the beach. Each villa has two large air-conditioned, en-suite bedrooms with large mosquito nets. They are also equipped with ceiling fans for those who prefer not to use air-conditioning. They have a light and airy, spacious sitting room and a small kitchenette. Each one overlooks the private pool and each villa has a seating/sunbathing area immediately in front of it. Superior Cottages - The two luxury superior cottages, Manda and Lamu, also take their name from islands in the Lamu archipelago on the north coast of Kenya. More about the Area

 Here you'll find white beaches, palm trees and coral reefs to explore by day and clubs to wade through by night. Those preferring the quiet life and whose aim it is to get away from sun-starved Europeans should reconsider a visit. Having said this, there is lovely bird watching at the Tiwi River, located near the Indian Ocean beach club, and in the south the beach experience does become more tranquil.
