A wonderful stretch of  white, clean sandy beach runs alongside the coastal road with narrow streets and squares full of restaurants, cafés and shops.   Take a stroll along the promenade watching the lively atmosphere and taking in the sea air.  There are two beaches in Nazaré, one either side of the cliff. Praia da Nazaré, the main beach is close to all the shops, cafés, bars and restaurants. Praia do Norte ( North Beach )is the other side of the cliff which is cooler, has rougher seas and fewer people, so away from the crowds.
