Sesimbra is a picturesque small fishing town situated on a bay, with a long sandy beach on a beautiful coastline. The marina offers possibilities for all kinds of water sports. The crystal clear water makes scuba diving to an unforgettable experience. In the village and on the beautiful boulevard one can find many fine restaurants and bars and visitors enjoy dining at the many restaurants with exquisite seafood and fresh fish, always quite full even in winter.  Colourful fishing boats can be seen in the small harbour and, high above the town, beautiful views are obtained from the moorish castle, restored in the 18th century. Sesimbra also lies on one of the sides of the Natural Park of Serra da Arrabida, with its variety of wildlife and beautiful wooded landscape in sheltered slopes that overlook the sea.
